The encounter with Mototemáticos

On Thursday, Simona and I traveled to Madrid to meet in person Ricky Godoy, his wife Pilar and the rest of "Mototemáticos" Chilean team, the flagship program on the planet dedicated to motorbikes and people.

All of them came from Santiago de Chile and we got in Terminal 4 of Barajas airport. There, in a few seconds, we started hugging traffic, t-shirts, sweaters, "fuet", sausages and "sobrassada" without fear of arrest. That was the beginning of very exciting and intense two days.

Ricky is one of those friends who magically appear. More than a year ago I met his TV show and contacted him through social networks. Since then we've never lost touch.

Thursday's night finished with the spontaneous performance of Andrés Herrera, Pilar's brother, in the studio of his friend Carmen's "La Griega" situated at Fúcar street number 4, at the picturesque district of "Las Letras" in Madrid. Andrés is a great tap dancer and master teacher. Best tap dancers have been trained in his school. If you have the chance, visit the "La Griega" workshop, a welcoming and inspiring place where you can admire the art of Carmen.

Right now the "Mototemáticos" team are in Morocco, where they face two weeks across this magnificent country with big trails. We wish them a good Ride To Roots!

In collaboration with "Mototemáticos" during my trip in Africa, I'll send video images to the program, which airs each week on Vive! Deportes Chilean television sports channel. We hope all friends from "Mototemáticos" find it interesting.
