Ride To Roots Meeting 2013
The international meeting for riders and travelers in the Sahara desert is coming again. Last year, we had many participants who visited Morocco for the first time. We love to hear that this meeting is a good excuse to discover this special corner in the planet. Those who have already been there, want to come back.
The spirit of R2R Meeting is to approach the reality of Africa and enjoy the delights of the desert, some of which are hidden.
Ride through the innumerable tracks of the desert, gives us incredible sensations. Share kilometers, emotions and countless stories, that emerge from each rider, are the reasons for organizing this event.

Off-Road and On-Road tours
As last year, we have designed a tour 100% Off-Road for each day, suitable for trail motorcyles. In addition, for riders with passenger or for people who prefer the asphalt, we've also done three interesting on-road tours. Tours are not guided, although you should ride in a group. We will install the tracks to the GPS of every rider. Eduard, the event organizer, will do off-road tours.
Dar el Janoub will give a picnic to eat along the tour, so it will not necessary to find a restaurant.
Riders will receive a ticket for every ridden track in order to parcipate in our raffle.
PARTICIPANTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR SAFETY AND MAINTENANCE OF THEIR MOTORCYCLE.
Off-Road
We recommend equipping the motorcycle with knobby tires and wear the appropiate gear. The 3th tour will end with a mini circuit of dunes, for those who wants to feel the sensation of floating on the sand with his trail motorbike.
On-Road
We recommend knobby tyres and the proper gear.
Roots Riders and Barraquer Foundation
During off-road tours, we will visit some nomadic camps. One of the aim of the network of riders we are creating in the desert, the Roots Riders, is to inform the ocular health status of nomads. With the support of the Barraquer Foundation, internationally recognized for their hard work, we can give some tips to prevent eye infections, provide some eye drops without cortisone or antibiotic in the most obvious cases of infection. Sand storms are the main cause of the common eye deseases who suffer the nomadic population.
We want to involve all the Riders will come to R2R Meeting 2013 of this initiative that facilitates the meeting between different cultures and helping the local population.
